As Dodgey heads off for a spell I just wanted to send you a short message of thanks for everything you have done to date organising visits, providing updates and being around on race days etc. Its great to get the website updates and audios and to be kept in the loop. This is my first dabble in a race horse and I'm having a great time and really enjoying it. Hopefully when Dodgey returns he will be bigger and better than ever and we can really have some fun.

Scott Wilson, Scott Wilson, Racehorse Owner

Over the years my friends and I have raced several horses with various trainers & syndicators. We find Michael & Paul of Adrenaline Thoroughbreds easily the best we have used. The communication & willingness to accommodate our requests are second to none.

Rod Warren, Racehorse Owner

I would not hesitate to recommend Adrenaline Thoroughbreds to anyone interested in owning race horses. Adrenaline's web-based Owner's Dashboard is first class. I currently have shares in three horses & watching them evolve into elite race horses is very rewarding.

Les Ham, Racehorse Owner

Having a horse with Adrenaline has to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have horses with others as well but the updates I receive from Michael and Paul set them apart. I feel like I am kept in the loop with every single aspect of my horses, even when they are spelling. Recently Michael even picked me up and drove me to Toowoomba to see my horse spelling.

Andrew Lang, Racehorse Owner

Adrenaline Thorougbreds has enabled us to take our first exciting step into the world of being a racehorse owner. The whole journey so far has exceeded our expectations – not just because our first horse, Epsilon, has turned out to be a cracker of a horse, but also because we have felt part of the whole experience.

Our Stables and facilities

Adrenaline thoroughbreds have a home ground advantage on the premier race track in Queensland. We stable and train our horses at the Eagle Farm Racecourse in Brisbane where they have all-season access to top-class facilities. During spelling, your horse enjoys the tranquil surrounds in the Darling Downs farming region, an hour-and-a-half west of Brisbane.

Rob Heathcote’s stables are located in the centre of Eagle Farm in the recently constructed and state of the art complex allowing our horses the full benefits offered by the redevelopment of the Eagle Farm Racecourse.

With large airy boxes amongst the quiet setting of the track, our horses are in the ideal place to thrive. Two ten-horse exercise walkers are complimented by a rubberised sand roll, tie up stalls and a hosing bays. The Racehorses do extremely well in the stables with many winners being produced. Turn a visit to see your horse into a full morning’s indulgence. The stables are conveniently close to the Racecourse Road cafes, luxury shopping and dining at Portside, and the Eagle Farm Markets (on every Sunday).

Training Facilities

Training Facilities

Your horse benefits from training at the most well-resourced racetrack in Queensland. Leading jockeys including Michael Rodd, Robbie Fradd, James Orman and Ben Thompson riding work at Eagle Farm for Rob. It’s so valuable to have these experienced riders on hand to educate your horse and benchmark its progress.

At Eagle Farm, your horse has all-season access to:

•Routine training on the grass tracks.

•Cross-training on the American dirt track and sand track and in the Eagle Farm swimming pool.

•Frequent opportunities to practice barrier starts with grass jump-outs each fortnight and barrier trials every other fortnight.

•Special purpose training (such as grass gallops) at the adjacent Doomben racetrack.

Pre-training Complex

Pre-training Complex

Our horses are pre-trained in the idyllic setting of Bahram Training Complex near Toowoomba.

More than $8 million has been invested in providing immaculate training tracks and equipment at Bahram, and we encourage our owners to take in the country air with a trip out west when their horse is pre-training.

The 80-plus stables at Bahram are all oversized with scope for the horses to move between open-air and undercover enclosures.

When in pre-training at Bahram, our horses can:

• Work on the 1,500m river sand track and 1,400m inside grass track.

• Progressively build their fitness in the 10-horse walking machines.

• Use the private barriers to learn how to jump out safely and smartly at the start of their race.

• State of the art veterinary facilities on site

Pre-training is managed by Bernie Lowe who has been producing our horses to Rob in terrific order and she is always happy to provide us with updates on how our horses are progressing. Bernie is a very competent and hands-on horsewoman who for the past 20 years has spent time with some of Queensland’s most experienced trainers.

Adrenaline horses are rested at Eureka Stud, home of many champion racehorses including Gr.1 winners Spirit of Boom, Temple of Boom, Pippie and Tinto. Founded in 1935 the farm is located on the fertile Darling Downs and has been handed down from one generation to the next.  It features natural and planted pastures, protected higher ground, undulating paddocks with a focus on safety, a creek, and a groundwater bore system to keep the paddocks maintained all year round. Having the McAlpine family share their knowledge while helping to guide our young horses through their early stages of development and education is priceless.
