DESCRIPTION

We liked everything about this colt physically, and he’s from a pedigree that backs it up so he ticks a lot of boxes to be a chance of making a nice racehorse.

He’s athletic, correct and well put together. He has a big shoulder, deep chest and barrel to make room for the heart and lungs, a powerful hindquarter and forearm and those short strong cannon bones that Bart Cummings loved. With all the right attributes, he also moves along in a balanced and purposeful manner.

By Encryption who is producing some nice horses from arguably one of Eureka Studs finest families (they have retained a share in the horse) we think he’s terrific value.

SIRE: ENCRYPTION

We always love buying horses raised at Eureka Stud and this fellow is a son of their dual Group winning horse Encryption, a classy son of the mighty Lonhro.

One of the ten Lonhro stallions to sire stakes winners, Encryption showed up early - stakes placed at his first three runs at two before a close up fifth in the Gr.1 Blue Diamond Stakes and a soft win in the Gr.3 Black Opal Stakes.

At three charging late to take out the Gr.2 Danehill Stakes, he was also doing his best work late when fifth in the hot Gr.1 Coolmore Stud Stakes won by Sunlight. He continued his great form in Gr.1 company as a later three-year-old taking on the older horses such as Nature Strip, Pierata and Jonker - not always having the best of luck.

Encryption hails from one of Australia's finest families, his dam being the four time Gr.1 winning Exceed And Excel mare Guelph who has also produced (by Lonhro) the Gr.3 winner Emanate. The Gr.1 winners Camarilla, Bivouac, Canny Lass and Sepoy all hail from this family - as does the influential Gr.1 Golden Slipper Stakes winning stallion Canny Lad.

The sire of 56 winners in his first two crops with his third being two-year-olds, Encryption has been well represented by the triple Group winner Cifrado and Gr.3 Grand Prix Stakes winner Encoder who at his latest outing proved too strong for his rivals in the Magic Millions Trophy.

DAM: HENLEY MISS

A consistent race mare with three wins and six placings on her record, Henley Miss is producing nice types with her first foal  Head Of The River, a $100,000 yearling, trialling well at Deagon recently.

Henley Miss is one of the four winners (from as many foals to race) for Done Deal, also dam of the stakes winner Heaven's Deal.
Done Deal's dam Precious Pearl has been a great producer and she’s also been good to Adrenaline - the dam of the durable dual stakes winner Diamondsondinside being the third dam of our star sprinter Prince Of Boom.

Our smart winners Billionair Baby and Estrondo also hail from this family - as does the triple Gr.1 winning Melbourne Cup runner-up Incentivise and fellow stakes winners Ardrossan, Bergerac, Cheyenne Warrior, Express Air, Simply Fly and Keshi Boom.

Spirit Of Boom boasts a great record with this family and he’s the sire of Henley Miss. We all know what a great job he is doing as a sire and the good news is that he is continuing on the good work as a broodmare sire - his daughters already producing nine winners including the fast stakes winner Hi Barbie.

PEDIGREE NOTES

Encryption's dam is line-bred to the great stallion Danehill, and his first two stakes winners both carry further strains as does this colt with Spirit Of Boom being out of a mare by his Gr.1 son Special Dane. Encryption's first three runners out of Spirit Of Boom mares are all showing ability with two of those - Data Scramble and Mystic Mac already winning in town.

Little wonder this cross is working with Encryption and Spirit Of Boom's pedigrees both strongly influenced by the prolific Lady Josephine family via strains of the Nasrullah, Royal Charger, Octagonal, Aristophanes, Coeur Volant, Abernant and Mahmoud providing for considerable genetic strength.

Another great family, that which has Frizette as its matriarch, is also well represented with Mr Prospector, Lomond and Elusive Quality all appearing in Encryption whilst Henley Miss is line-bred to their relation Baldric.
Also nice in the background of this colt's pedigree are duplications of the influential mares Marchetta, Admiration, La Troienne and Lady Susan.
