Adrenaline Thoroughbreds offer an opportunity to buy into an athletic daughter of Denman. This is a classy looking filly and has everything we look for in a horse - power and length of stride, a chest with plenty of room for heart and lungs, all put together in good proportion to move fluently with balance. We think Denman offers great value as a stallion – so much so that this is the third Denman we have purchased in the past year. 

Denman has it all! He is by Champion racehorse and stallion Lonhro, whose dam, Peach, has had 12 runners for 11 winners including multiple Gr.1 winners with Denman and Preserve, along with one of her daughters, Ouachitta, producing Golden Slipper winner Kiamichi. In his racing career Denman was a model of consistency winning 9 of his 12 starts including the Gr.1 Golden Rose. At stud he’s producing an exceptional near on 70% winners to runners with his Stakes winners and placegetters touching on 5%. These are great numbers for a stallion that we can purchase very nice types at such value for money!

We love to buy out of mares that have shown that they can perform on the racetrack as statistics show they are the best chance of producing a quality horse.  On the track, Speed of Dark won 6 races, she won at metropolitan level in Melbourne and was nearly black type running 4th in the Gr.3 Tranquil Star Stakes at Caulfield and close to Sistine Angel in the Gr.2 Edward Manifold, before being stretched out to run in the Gr.1 Crown Oaks which seemed to have damaged her future racing career. She’s a young mare from a quality family, which includes the Gr.1 Australia Cup winner Starstruck as her 3rd dam. 

Prepared for the sales by KBL Thoroughbreds who do a great job, this filly is from a mare who could run, by a sire we respect on all levels and so was on our must have list. As with a lot of the fillies we buy, we feel that if she can perform on the track she has the physical type and pedigree to make her valuable as a broodmare in the future.

This includes purchase price, GST, 12 months insurance, Pre-sale vet inspections and scoping, Magic Millions race series, Golden Slipper, QTIS, transport, breaking in and all holding costs until 30th September.
